Terms of Service
Last updated: June 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Practice Cat mobile application (the “App”), developed and published by Practice Cat Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle data.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under applicable consumer protection law.
1. Description of the App
Practice Cat is a tool designed to help musicians organise and structure practice sessions using sheet music.
The App allows you to:
- import or scan sheet music
- organise pieces and sections
- structure practice sessions
- track practice progress locally on your device
The App does not:
- provide music tuition
- analyse or evaluate your playing
- guarantee practice outcomes or improvement
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.
3. Accounts and User Identity
The App does not require you to create an account.
We do not ask you to provide personal information such as your name or email address in order to use the App.
For subscription management and support purposes, the App may display an app-specific identifier generated by our subscription provider (RevenueCat). This identifier does not identify you personally, and we will only receive it if you choose to share it with us (for example, when contacting support).
4. Free Tier and Page Quota
The App includes a free tier which allows you to import up to 20 pages of sheet music in total.
- This is a one-time allowance
- It does not renew
- Once used, you will need to subscribe to Pro to import further pages
You may continue to access and practise all previously imported content without restriction.
5. Pro Subscription
5.1 Subscription Features
A Pro subscription allows you to import up to 50 additional pages per monthly subscription period.
- This allowance resets each month
- Unused allowance does not roll over
The exact features and pricing shown in the App or through Google Play at the time of purchase form part of your subscription.
5.2 Billing and Renewal
Subscriptions:
- are processed via Google Play
- renew automatically unless cancelled
- are managed through your Google Play account
Your subscription terms, price, billing period, renewal date, cancellation options, and any trial terms will be shown by Google Play before you confirm your purchase.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time via Google Play.
Cancellation will normally take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are generally handled by Google Play in accordance with Google Play’s policies. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.
5.4 After Subscription Ends
If your subscription ends:
- you retain access to all previously imported content, provided it remains available on your device
- you may continue practising without restriction
- you may only import new pages if you have available quota
Previously imported content will not be removed solely because your subscription has ended.
6. User Content and Copyright
You are responsible for all content you import into the App, including sheet music, scanned pages, images, and PDFs.
You agree that:
- you have the legal right to use any content you import
- your use of the App complies with applicable copyright, intellectual property, and other laws
The App does not grant you any rights in relation to copyrighted works.

Practice Cat stores your data locally on your device. This means your scores, progress, and settings remain under your control and are not stored on our servers.
The App does not include cloud backup, synchronisation, restore, or data export features.
As a result, if your device is lost, reset, damaged, or if the App is uninstalled, your data may not be recoverable.
