Help Test Practice Cat for Android
Practice Cat for Android is now available to try as a beta on Google Play.
We’re looking for musicians to try it during real practice sessions and help shape it as we move towards full release: what works, what doesn’t, and what would make it better.
Practise regularly from sheet music? Curious about making your practice sessions more focused and effective? Give it a try!
Join the open beta
If your Google Play account is based in the UK or Spain, you can install Practice Cat directly from the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.practicecat.app
We’ll open the beta in more countries as the rollout expands.
If you see a message saying the app isn’t available in your country yet, please try again later — or give us a nudge at:
How to share feedback
After installing and trying the app, it would be great if you could give us some feedback either by:
- filling out the short online feedback form
- or mailing us at beta@practicecat.com
We’re not looking for a big report or anything, just your honest views on what worked, what didn’t work, and what you think would make Practice Cat better.
Scope and devices
The beta is currently available for Android only.
Practice Cat should work on any relatively modern Android device. A tablet with a reasonably sized screen is recommended, although it does work on a phone.
iOS is not supported yet.
Privacy and terms
Practice Cat takes a privacy-first approach. There are no ads, no tracking, and your practice data is not shared or sold.
Our Android privacy policy is here:
https://www.practicecat.com/en/legal/android/v1/privacy/
This privacy policy applies to beta testers. It may be updated before launch if the app or legal requirements change.
During the beta, we would appreciate it if you opt in to these settings when prompted by the app:
- Share crash reports
- Share basic usage metrics
These diagnostic crash reports and usage statistics help us understand how the app is performing and identify problems more quickly. You can still test the app without opting in.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in feedback emails or survey responses.
Our Terms of Service are here:
https://www.practicecat.com/en/legal/android/v1/terms-of-service/
When testing Practice Cat, please only import sheet music or other materials that you have the right to use.
Free and PRO features during the beta
Practice Cat has a freemium model. The free version lets you import a limited number of pages, while PRO allows you to grow your repertoire over time.
During the beta, the app will still show the normal free limit and PRO upgrade prompts. If you choose to upgrade to PRO and complete the purchase through Google Play, you will be charged real money.
What happens when the Beta ends?
When the beta ends and the app enters full release, we’ll announce this on the What’s New page.
Your pieces, practice data, and subscription (if any) should seamlessly carry over unless you uninstall the app, clear app data, or change your device.
Thank you
Thank you for your feedback!
We appreciate your time, your musical experience, and your help improving the app.
